this artwork was made from the ground up with krita. an open source painting software
First i started with a gesture drawing with low opacity strokes to find the pose i wanted. After this i lowered the opacity further and made a not so clean inking
to keep basic T overlaps and form.

Here i did some masking and added some basic light grey values on the model.
i seperated the background from the model so that i can paint each one without destroying the other. i chose to have a dark background and a lighter character.

I painted the background in black and white
Then i created a new layer on top in "colour" blending mode and tested many colours until i am happy with the overall look.added new layers in "overly" and "multiply" blending modes. added lighter colour on the light side, some medium redish color to indicate the blood underneath the skin in midtone places and dark and a bit desaturated blue in shadows. backlight and bounching light to keep the attention of the viewer on the model.
after this i created a new normal layer on top of everything and with a small painterly style brush and colour picker i detailed everything until i am happy with it.
